Mumble decides to travel to , where he hopes to reach the humans responsible for the environmental damage. He is captured and taken to a marine research facility, where he befriends Basil , a charismatic blue‑footed booby, and Gordon , an eccentric, singing seal. Through a series of musical numbers, Mumble convinces the scientists and the world’s media that the penguins’ plight is a symptom of climate change.
