John Abraham’s portrayal of ACP Yashvardhan “Yash” Singhis is less superhero than haunted professional. Kamat frames Yash as a man whose identity has been reduced to procedural purpose after the traumatic death of his wife — a silence that action cannot puncture. The physicality of Abraham’s performance (stiff shoulders, calibrated glare, economy of speech) conveys a character sustained by habit and ritual rather than hope.
