This paper examines the technical and cultural dimensions surrounding Super Mario Party (Nintendo, 2018) for the Nintendo Switch, with a specific focus on the "NSP" (Nintendo Submission Package) file format and its associated update (atualização) ecosystem. While official distribution occurs via the Nintendo eShop, the unauthorized dissemination of NSP files has created a parallel infrastructure of game access. This study analyzes the structure of NSP updates, the patch history of Super Mario Party , and the implications of using such files on modded hardware. We argue that understanding the NSP format is essential for comprehending modern console security, digital rights management (DRM), and the lifecycle of first-party Nintendo titles.
