: Developed by Reto-Moto (formed by former IO Interactive veterans), the game launched its alpha in 2012 on a custom browser-based engine called Retox . Its core hook was the "War" mode, where the actions of individual players (the Heroes ) directly influenced the strategic movements of resources and troops managed by high-level commanders (the Generals ).
