When Fast Five (stylized as The Fast and the Furious 5 ) roared into theaters in April 2011, no one expected it to transform a street-racing saga into a globe-trotting, physics-defying heist franchise. Directed by Justin Lin, the film brought together the original crew from the first movie (Vin Diesel’s Dominic Toretto, Paul Walker’s Brian O’Conner) with the characters from Tokyo Drift and Fast & Furious 4 for an adrenaline-fueled mission in Rio de Janeiro.
