In the crowded and often formulaic landscape of Indian OTT platforms, particularly the bold segment occupied by Ullu Originals, most series rely on shock value, titillation, and predictable tropes. Palang Tod: Caretaker 2 (2021) initially appears to follow this blueprint. However, a closer examination of of the series reveals a surprising evolution: it transcends its genre limitations to offer a tighter narrative, superior character development, and a more controlled directorial vision than its contemporaries—and even its own first part. For what it aims to be within the Ullu ecosystem, Caretaker 2 (Part 2) is undeniably better.
