If you work on pre-2010 Porsches, the Piwis 3 is sufficient. However, for the latest generation of electric and hybrid Porsches, the Piwis Tester 4 is non-negotiable. The Tester 4 supports "High Voltage" safety protocols that the Tester 3 physically cannot handle.
